The competition was convened last January for students between 12 and 16 years old throughout Andalusia and is already the sixth consecutive year that is held, becoming one of the most settled water-themed competitions in the region. The Cardenal Espínola school is always one of the most participatory in Andalusia and during the six editions of the contest have managed to be awarded with two first and two second prizes.

The Jury, made up of journalists and writers related to the water sector, has estimated in its ruling that Asier's winning account has been able to synthesize the most important aspects related to water protection. This year the theme focused on the importance of water in society and the concept of a 'smart city'.
