Work progresses in Bazán with the arrival of the pumps of the Wastewater Pumping Station in the area

In total, three pumps will be installed with the capacity to drive 175 liters per second each of wastewater

The works for the integral improvement of the supply and sewerage networks of the Bazán neighborhood continue to fulfill stages and the pumps in charge of the operation of the Wastewater Pumping Station that is being built in the area have already been installed.

An operator places one of the pumps inside the Bazán Pumping Station.

In fact, the civil works of this equipment are already about to be completed, while the work in the installation itself is at 50%, taking a big step in this direction with the installation of the three sewage pumps preventing wastewater overflows from occurring.

Each of these pumps has a drive capacity of about 175 liters per second, which will allow the sewage drain to be much more effective. To this we must add the creation of a fully operational separative network of fecal and rainwater, reducing the risk of collapse of the network and improving not only the infrastructures that the Bazán neighborhood has, but also the sustainability of this area.

The new Wastewater Pumping Station will collect all the sewage from the area, and will take it through a new wastewater impulsion pipeline to the new collector that begins at the junction of the road of the carraca with Eo street, later it will run by gravity to the Venta Vargas and, from there,  to the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

On the other hand, a Rainwater Pumping Station is being built that will collect all the rainwater that reaches the area and a impulsion collector that will be connected to the existing general rainwater spillway, for the drainage of the water from the rainfall.

All this while also working on the renovation of the collector of La Carraca that is already at 65%. In total this first phase has a total budget of 1,122,832 euros and is expected to be completed by the end of December this year.
