Hidralia is committed to digitization and efficiency in the management of wells in Manilva

The advanced management of groundwater catchments with Well Watch allows to optimize operations, making them much more efficient, which entails making a rational, more sustainable and respectful use of the aquifer environment

Digitizing processes to improve their efficiency in public services is the way of the future. This is well known by the company that manages the integral water cycle in Manilva, Hidralia, which, in close collaboration with the city council, continues to implement resources in all aspects in which its activity is developed in order to provide a better service to the population. A clear example is the monitoring of the catchments of the municipality that is being carried out through the latest technology tools such as Well Watch.

Well Watch is a technological tool promoted by the Suez group that allows real-time control of the catchment conditions. With it, some key parameters are monitored to observe their proper functioning, such as the indicators of the quantity and quality of the aquifers, the specific flow rate of the wells, the ratios of the pumping equipment (in kWh/m3 and in Wh/m3/m) and real-time operating parameters including water level depth, instantaneous pumping rate, energy consumption, and wellhead pressure.

The platform has a web server that allows to store the information provided by the instrumentation and monitoring, and thus be able to carry out an analysis that offers the real results of its operation.

Advanced management of groundwater catchments with Well Watch allows operations to be optimized, making them much more efficient, which entails making a rational, more sustainable and respectful use of the aquifers environment. In addition, it guarantees supply by reducing the impact of foreseeable breakdowns or incidents and combines a series of activities that range from initial diagnosis to control and monitoring in real time with specific proprietary software.

In the words of the Councilor for Infrastructure and Works, Diego José Jiménez, explained that: “These new control equipment allow monitoring the levels of the aquifers and avoid problems such as marine intrusion within the aquifer itself, which would lead to the uselessness of said waters , all with processes that are respectful with the environment ”, he pointed out.

The use of this digital tool in the Manilva wells adds to the expert hydrogeological assistance and the maintenance of said catchments through the AquaFreed and AquaGard processes, which allow the cleaning and maintenance of the wells through applied green technology by means of liquid CO2.
