Visits to our facilities

At Hidralia, we believe that knowledge and collaboration with academia are key tools for promoting sustainable water management. Since 2008, we have maintained a close partnership with the University of Málaga through the Master's Program in Water Resources and the Environment (RHYMA), offering students the opportunity to learn firsthand how the complete water cycle is managed on the Costa del Sol.

Each year, master's students visit the facilities of Hidralia in Marbella and Aguas de Torremolinos, accompanied by faculty and technical staff from both companies.

During the visit, participants expand their knowledge of groundwater management, the implementation of efficient models, and innovative solutions applied to the region. Among the sites visited are:

  • The managed aquifer recharge project in Camoján (Marbella), a pioneering and nationally recognized initiative that has been underway for two decades.
  • The San José II water intake (Torremolinos), where visitors can learn in detail about the extraction, monitoring, and distribution processes.
  • The educA room, where they receive a brief introductory training session on the complete water cycle and responsible water management.

This activity is part of the ongoing collaboration between Hidralia and the University of Malaga, with the aim of contributing to the practical training of future professionals in the water and environment sector, promoting the exchange of knowledge and the connection between the university and the company.
